Discover Le Marche
Le Marche is often described as Italy’s “undiscovered Tuscany”: authentic, welcoming and rich in culture. It is a region where the Adriatic Sea, rolling hills and the Apennine mountains come together. From Casa Luce you can experience it all – sun, sea, nature and culture, combined in one holiday.
The region stretches for 170 kilometers along the Adriatic coast, with sandy beaches and palm-lined boulevards. Inland you will find vineyards, olive groves and picturesque villages. Historic towns such as Fermo, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno invite you to wander through centuries-old squares, charming streets and past museums, churches and palazzi. Yet Le Marche remains much quieter and less touristy than Tuscany or Umbria. For many, it is still Italy’s best-kept secret.
Torre di Palme – our village
Perched on a hilltop near Casa Luce lies Torre di Palme, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy. The village is surrounded by walls and charming gateways, with winding streets leading past terracotta facades draped in flowers. From the panoramic terraces you overlook both the Adriatic coast and the hills of Le Marche. Torre di Palme is known for its romantic atmosphere, excellent restaurants and historical character. It is a place where time seems to stand still – and where you are bound to fall in love.
Festivals, wines and flavors
Le Marche celebrates the seasons, and in summer the region comes alive with culinary village festivals (sagre). Highlights include the Sagra Nazionale dei Maccheroncini di Campofilone IGP, a national festival dedicated to the region’s famous fine egg pasta, and the Sagra delle Cozze in Pedaso, where mussels are prepared in countless ways right by the sea. In nearby Fermo you can enjoy the lively Pizza Festival, with local pizzerias and bakers offering every variety of pizza alongside music and dancing.
In autumn, villages celebrate the grape and olive harvest with colorful events, while in winter the focus turns to truffle festivals, where the prized white and black truffles from the Apennines are the stars of the show.
A special highlight is a wine tasting at Madonnabruna, our neighbors further up the hill. The Pettracci family produces outstanding wines such as the fresh Pecorino “Maree” and the robust Rosso Piceno, a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. In the summer months, they host a tasting every Wednesday evening – and we are happy to bring our guests there and pick them up again, so you can fully enjoy the wines and the atmosphere.

Le Marche is a destination for all seasons.
