Breakfast at Casa Luce
In spring and autumn (April, May, June and September) we love to spoil our guests with a generous breakfast for €10 per person. Enjoy fresh coffee and tea, a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, yogurt with homemade granola and seasonal fruit from our own vegetable garden and food forest. We also serve warm bread rolls and croissants, eggs from our own chickens, and a wide choice of cheeses, cold cuts and sweet treats.
Every morning feels like a celebration – and some of our guests say we might just be spoiling them (or even ruining them for other breakfasts ??).

About us
We are Hanny Arens and Marcel de Vroom, the proud owners of Casa Luce. Our shared love for Italy, nature and hospitality brought us here, to the hills of Le Marche, where we made our dream come true.
Hanny has a background in online marketing and web portals and is the owner of the B&B websites Bedandbreakfast.eu, Bedandbreakfast.nl and Bedandbreakfast.be. Her expertise in digitalization and hospitality comes together at Casa Luce, where attention to detail and a warm welcome are key.
Marcel has a background in engineering and takes care of the garden, the food forest, the farmland and the chickens. Every year he also harvests the olives from our own trees, which we turn into delicious olive oil. A real taste of the region that guests can enjoy at Casa Luce.
Together we share a passion for Italy, cooking, food forests and a self-sufficient lifestyle. We love to share our forest with the community – not only as a place to walk and relax, but also to pick and enjoy what nature has to offer.
Casa Luce is also home to our dog Pepper, a Beauceron – a French shepherd once used as a working dog in the French mountains. Pepper is friendly and curious and loves meeting our guests.
What makes us happiest? Seeing our guests enjoy the peace, the views and the space, and feeling completely at home at Casa Luce.
We look forward to welcoming you personally and sharing this special place with you.
Discover Le Marche
Le Marche is often described as Italy’s “undiscovered Tuscany”: authentic, welcoming and rich in culture. It is a region where the Adriatic Sea, rolling hills and the Apennine mountains come together. From Casa Luce you can experience it all – sun, sea, nature and culture, combined in one holiday.
The region stretches for 170 kilometers along the Adriatic coast, with sandy beaches and palm-lined boulevards. Inland you will find vineyards, olive groves and picturesque villages. Historic towns such as Fermo, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno invite you to wander through centuries-old squares, charming streets and past museums, churches and palazzi. Yet Le Marche remains much quieter and less touristy than Tuscany or Umbria. For many, it is still Italy’s best-kept secret.
Torre di Palme – our village
Perched on a hilltop near Casa Luce lies Torre di Palme, one of the most beautiful medieval villages in Italy. The village is surrounded by walls and charming gateways, with winding streets leading past terracotta facades draped in flowers. From the panoramic terraces you overlook both the Adriatic coast and the hills of Le Marche. Torre di Palme is known for its romantic atmosphere, excellent restaurants and historical character. It is a place where time seems to stand still – and where you are bound to fall in love.
Festivals, wines and flavors
Le Marche celebrates the seasons, and in summer the region comes alive with culinary village festivals (sagre). Highlights include the Sagra Nazionale dei Maccheroncini di Campofilone IGP, a national festival dedicated to the region’s famous fine egg pasta, and the Sagra delle Cozze in Pedaso, where mussels are prepared in countless ways right by the sea. In nearby Fermo you can enjoy the lively Pizza Festival, with local pizzerias and bakers offering every variety of pizza alongside music and dancing.
In autumn, villages celebrate the grape and olive harvest with colorful events, while in winter the focus turns to truffle festivals, where the prized white and black truffles from the Apennines are the stars of the show.
A special highlight is a wine tasting at Madonnabruna, our neighbors further up the hill. The Pettracci family produces outstanding wines such as the fresh Pecorino “Maree” and the robust Rosso Piceno, a blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese. In the summer months, they host a tasting every Wednesday evening – and we are happy to bring our guests there and pick them up again, so you can fully enjoy the wines and the atmosphere.
Something special every season
Le Marche is a destination for all seasons.
In spring, the hills turn yellow with sunflowers and you can enjoy fresh wines and local festivals.
In summer, the Adriatic coast is lively with beaches, village feasts and wine tastings.
In autumn, it’s all about the harvest, truffles and culinary traditions.
In winter, you’ll find peace, atmospheric Christmas markets and even skiing in the Sibillini mountains.
Experience Le Marche
Whether you want to relax by the sea, hike in the mountains, explore historic towns or taste the region’s culinary richness: in Le Marche you will find it all. And always close to Casa Luce, your base to discover this versatile and welcoming part of Italy.
